Since being called to the Bar in 2008, Karis has focused on litigation with a specialisation in debt recovery for corporate lending institutions. She joined Hanschell & Co. in 2018 and has since become an invaluable member of the team, known for her hard work, dedication, and attention to detail. Karis earned her L.L.B. from the University of the West Indies and completed her Legal Education Certificate at the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad.
